Every number on screen maps to something the app actually does.

No fake charts. No vanity stats. You can verify each one yourself in DevTools or in the source.

Common questions.

Is my webcam video sent anywhere?+
No. Pose detection runs entirely in your browser using an on-device ML model. You can verify it yourself: open DevTools → Network while using the app — there are no frame uploads to disprove.
Do I have to install anything?+
The web app needs zero install — just grant camera access. A native desktop app is available for always-on detection while you use other apps; it's the same engine wrapped in a system-tray icon. A Chrome extension for cross-tab detection is available too — same engine, same subscription.
Which browsers are supported?+
All major desktop browsers. Chrome, Edge, and other Chromium browsers get the full experience — detection keeps running even while you're in other tabs or apps. Firefox and Safari work too, with detection active while the StopSlouching tab is visible (their camera APIs don't yet allow background processing). For always-on coverage in any setup, use the desktop app.
Does it work on Mac, Windows, and Linux?+
Yes. The web app runs in any modern desktop browser — Chrome, Edge, Arc, Brave, Firefox, or Safari — on Mac, Windows, or Linux (Chromium browsers add background detection across tabs). Windows also has a native system-tray app for always-on detection outside the browser, and a native Mac menu-bar app is on the roadmap.
How does background-mode alert work?+
A pose-detection worker keeps running when you switch tabs and signals our Service Worker directly via BroadcastChannel. The Service Worker fires an OS-level notification. The main thread isn't in the critical path.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?+
Free gives you 60 minutes of detection — lifetime, the full app, every feature, no credit card needed. That's a real work hour to feel whether it changes how you sit. Pro removes the time limit: unlimited real-time detection, all 11 targeted stretches, streak tracking, 30 & 90-day insights, and the native desktop app. Every Pro plan is backed by a 14-day money-back guarantee, and the Chrome extension for cross-tab detection — all on one subscription.
Can I cancel my subscription?+
Yes — anytime, from your account page or via Paddle's customer portal. Access continues until the end of your current billing period.
How much does it cost?+
The first hour is free — no signup, no card. Pro removes the time limit for a few dollars a month, with a cheaper yearly option and a one-time lifetime plan (there's a limited-time sale on right now), all backed by a 14-day money-back guarantee. Current prices are in the pricing section above.
How is this different from a posture corrector or a wearable?+
A posture brace holds you upright mechanically, which lets the muscles that should do that job weaken over time. A wearable sensor works, but you have to remember to wear it and keep it charged. StopSlouching is real-time feedback through the webcam you already have — nothing to wear, charge, or remember — so it trains your own posture instead of replacing it.
What if it doesn't work for me?+
Every Pro plan comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee. If StopSlouching isn't helping you sit better, email us within 14 days of your purchase for a full refund — no questions asked. You can also cancel anytime, and your access runs to the end of the billing period either way.
Is this medical advice?+
No. StopSlouching is a wellness aid, not a medical device. If you have neck or back pain, please see a doctor or physical therapist.
What kind of stretches will it ask me to do?+
Office-friendly only — chair-based, subtle, no get-on-the-floor work. Neck rolls, chin tucks, upper-trap stretches, scapular squeezes, seated twists, chair-back thoracic extensions, eye breaks. Targeted to whichever sub-score is weakest at the moment.
